International law expert Ara Ghazaryan, one of the candidates for judge at the European Court of Human Rights, says there is no need to prepare for the upcoming competition as ‘it is part of his daily work.’ “During the day, I read a lot and find time to look through the Convention again and again,”  Ara Ghazaryan told A1+. At the same time, he considers the other 14 candidates to be his competitors. “They are all experienced and have had an opportunity to deal with the Convention. Some may know a little more than others but they are all skillful. I happened to work with some and I see them all as my contenders as equal opportunities are created for all candidates,” he said. The competition will be held in the building of Armenia's Court of Cassation on February 26, 2015. It starts at 9.00 Yerevan time. During the previous competition, Ara Ghazaryan was included among the best three candidates for the post.
