Exhibits of woodcarving museum endangered (video)
It is impossible to hold an excursion at woodcarving museum without a coat. The area isn’t heated as a result of which there are not only few visitors but also the exhibits are endangered. Armine Arsenyan, senior research fellow of the woodcarving museum, highlights that the wood needs stable temperature. The museum hasn’t been renovated for 38 years. The exhibits are kept more at the archives than at the exhibition halls. The museum has also a problem of territory. Once there was also a woodcarving school near the museum. It doesn’t operate because of lack of financial resources. In spite of the difficulties, the employees of the museum still hope that one day unique exhibits will be shown at large and warm rooms.
