Smell of Eastern spices felt everywhere (video)
The smell of Eastern spices is felt even before approaching the pavilion of Syrian Armenian Petros Kirazian. Here you can find all spices that flavor dishes. Many of the customers are Armenians. Zahtar (Za'atar), an aromatic herb and spice mixture used in the Middle East, is the most popular spice in this shop. Petros Kirazian always explains with great patience how the spice is used. Though Syrian Armenians are not granted tax privileges, Mr Kirazian does not complain of his business. He has not encountered problems to this day. The income received from the sale of spices is not great, but Kirazian believes that his business will prosper in Armenia, once the situation de-escalates in Syria.
