National Assembly holding consultation on controversial law
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan is holding a consultation at the National Assembly on the amendments to the controversial new taxation rules. Representatives of NA factions are participating in the meeting. Following a week-long protest staged by representatives of small and medium-sized companies demanding that the law be reviewed by the executive, the Armenian government decided to Saturday, January 31, to postpone the application of the law until July 1. This means that small traders will not be required to provide documentary evidence of their transactions for another five months.
