Participants of Armenian Chess Championship are known
The names of the participants of Armenian Chess Premier League Championship 2015 are known. There are 10 chess players at the men’s 75th championship, 8 of whom are Grand Masters, one is FIDE Master, one- first class. Zaven Andriasyan is considered tournament favorite according to his rating. He is followed by Arman Pashikyan, Karen Grigoryan, Robert Hovhannisyan, Hovhannes Gabuzyan, Samvel Ter-Sahakyan, Avetik Grigoryan, current champion Tigran Kotanjyan, Davit Shahinyan and Arman Mikayelyan. 10 women chess players will take part in the women’s 70th championship. Only three of them have international title. They are Anna Hayrapetyan, Narine Gasparyan and Maria Gevorgyan. Siranush Ghukasyan, the champion of last year Shushanna Sargsyan, Susanna Gaboyan, Armine Babayan, Lusine Karapetyan, Svetlana Mirzabekyan and Mariam Avetisyan are still competing for those titles. Two tournaments will be held according to round-robin format. The winners will be included in Armenian national chess teams.
