“Journalists were able to perform their mission”
It is difficult to say that 2014 was a favorable year for journalists and media. Noted Chairman of Committee to Protect Freedom of Expression Ashot Melikyan in the conversation with “A1+” summing up the last year. The committee will publish its annual report in this month by representing how many acts of violence and suppression there were against journalists. Mr. Melikyan is pleased to note, “In spite of suppression and various difficulties faced by Armenian media and journalists, they were able to perform their mission of public importance and we must appreciate their activities.”
