Our army in 2014: achievements, losses (video)
Support A1+!2014 hasn’t been a peaceful year for an Armenian soldier keeping the border. Besides the losses there have also been achievements. “In the direction of Nakhijevan we have much more improved and stronger border, our army has managed to have favorable positions on the border of Nakhijevan due to a special operation,”- says the Advisor of RA Defense Minister Davit Jamalyan. There was tension especially on August when the rival tried to destabilize the situation by violating the ceasefire regime for many times. There was a relevant response by Armenian Army. On that occasion Mr. Jamalyan notes: “We understand that if official Baku has adopted the policy of continuously destabilizing the situation on the border, any our counteraction may have a temporary impact, because the policy of Azerbaijan is creating tension and using pressure.” Will 2015 bring complete peace to our region? “If the position of the authorities of Azerbaijan, which doesn’t differ from the position of their society, is extremely irrational, maximalist, we can’t expect any serious development in terms of conflict settlement, and we mustn’t deceive us and be given to illusions,”- notes Davit Jamalyan. The expert thinks that the military operations are not likely to restart in the near future, but he doesn’t exclude that subversive attacks may be repeated. Watch details in the video
