Snowstorm leaves Sotk-Karvachar highway closed for vehicles
Most roads in Armenia were open as of 10.15 a.m., reports the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations. Only Zanger roadway and Vardenyats mountain pass (Gegharkunik region) are heavy-going. Also, Sotk-Karvachar highway is closed because of snowstorm. Road cleaning activities continue on roads. The Ministry recommends drivers to use winter tyres and avoid using the above mentioned motorways unless strictly necessary. According to the Georgian Interior Ministry’s Emergencies Department, Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all vehicles with tyre protection chains.
