The Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan called on the EU not to intervene internal affairs of his country. He made this statement in response to the criticism in Brussels in relation to the arrested journalists in Ankara. Turkish Police arrested 27 people calling them “activists of parallel state”. There are also journalists among them including the editor of the Zaman newspaper. “The European Union should not seek the authority to intervene in the steps taken by Turkish security forces, within the rule of law, against elements that threaten our national security,”- announced Erdogan.
