Activists cannot approach police building (video)
A group of citizens in Armenia are holding a protest in Yerevan against the recent arson attacks on cars belonging to the members of Pre-Parliament Initiative, as well as the assaults on several Karabakh war veterans and opposition lawmaker Aram Manukyan. The protesters headed to the headquarters of the Armenian Police where police officers prevented them from grouping outside the police building. “Shame on you, Yeranosyan’s dummies!” the protesters began vociferating. They consider the police actions illegal, especially given the fact that passers-by are allowed to walk in front of the building. Let us remind that after the attacks on Karabakh war veterans, Deputy Chief of Police, Commander of Police Forces, Lieutenant General Levon Yeranosyan promised to cut off the ear of the person who will curse Serzh Sargsyan. Representatives of the rapid reaction group of the Ombudsman’s Office have arrived at the site.
