Old items are considered to be ancestral heritage. Hayk Grigoryan inherited these items from his grandfather who had brought them to Armenia from Bdajur – a village in Gandzak region that was destroyed by Azerbaijanis. He keeps the ancestral heritage as a relic. Each item has its story. “I gave part of them to different museums but they were not put on display, therefore I have decided to wait until a museum opens that will exhibit the heritage of the Armenians living in Gardman [one of the eight districts of the ancient province of Utik in Armenia] otherwise I shall never depart with these items,” says Hayk Grigoryan. This is not the only family that keeps items inherited from the ancestors. The idea to open a museum that will display the heritage of Gardman Armenians occurred to the people who migrated from the former Soviet Azerbaijan last year. However, the relevant bodies did not like the idea of opening a museum. Details are available in the video.
