Armenians have prepared for New Year holidays since August-September. Travel agencies inform about it. “As always our compatriots prefer seaside holidays and warm countries- Egypt, Arab Emirates. The number of those who prefer Thailand has also increased. Still in August many people have reserved their travel packages, as on Christmas eve their prices increase,”- noted Director of “Joel” travel agency Sona Yeghiazaryan. Director of “Armenia Travel” travel agency Maria Kpryan thinks that Armenians prefer to spend their New Year holidays abroad, as it is cheaper than in Armenia. Mrs. Kpryan regrets to say that Armenia has very little to offer the foreigners for spending New Year in Armenia. By the way, according to the information of President of Hotels’ Association of Armenia Hakob Hakobyan, New Year packages in Armenia for families of 3-4 cost 700-800 thousands AMD.
