“Having children has no connection with wealth”
The discussion of changes in “Temporary disability” law was a bite incomprehensible for Chairman of NA Social Affairs Standing Committee, HHK Deputy Hakob Hakobyan. At the NA extraordinary session Mr. Hakobyan announced that with these changes they defend 100 percent payment of benefits of working pregnant women, and in case of the unemployed women- 50 percent of the minimum salary, “It is very simple, we increase by keeping what we have and create another incentive for birth increase. Can anyone say that the money of a pregnant woman is reduced? I think that the money must be used if necessary in order to support poor families.” NA President Galust Sahakyan said, “Having children has no connection with wealth, as we can see wealthy people have few children.”
