Levon Zurabyan: The entire world is going in one direction while Armenia in another
Support A1+!It seems that the entire world is going in one direction while Armenia is going in another direction. Didn't officials in Armenia take into consideration the current processes when drafting the 2015 budget? Didn't they pay attention to the sanctions against Russia and the devaluation of the Russian ruble? The questions were raised today by opposition lawmaker Levon Zurabyan in his address to Gagik Minasyan, Chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Financial-Credit, Budgetary and Economic Affairs. Mr Minasyan said the processes have political rather than economic reasons and intense discussions are underway at present to prevent political interests from mingling with economic developments. “Only joint efforts will allow us to find the best solution, since the processes develop in such a way that it is impossible to make predictions,” he said. Dissatisfied with the answer, Levon Zurabyan continued, “Things can develop in different scenarios. You need not wait for events to happen to be able to jump at conclusions. You should make predictions which you failed to do so far.”
