There are rules in many countries of the world, which must be followed by every tourist, otherwise he will be fined or even arrested. For example, it isn’t allowed to smoke, drink alcohol or kiss in public places. “But there are no limitations in our country,”- stresses tour-manager Arsen Jomardyan. He has worked in tourism sector for four years. The work let him communicate with the tourists from various countries and contribute to the formation of certain opinion. “Adults from France, Germany and Italy are very good tourists. Polish, Ukrainian and Russian tourists are bad tourists. They can come to Armenia and allow themselves some misbehavior at restaurants,”- he says. He remembers the deed of a Russian tourist, who left a note with paints on the southern wall of Garni temple, “Idol is nothing in the world.” Tour-manager says that cameras must be installed in order to control historical-cultural monuments for preventing such cases. Ministry of Culture is aware of frequent misbehavior of tourists. Today- on the Responsible Tourism Day, Culture Minister regrets to note another fact again remembering Garni case. “The same can also be done by the local and it happens very often,”- notes Arev Samuelyan. Ministry states that after profanation cases of monuments administrative requirements became stricter.
