Armenian MFA: Charles Aznavour did not give interview to Turkish daily
Renowned French Armenian singer Charles Aznavour has not given any interview to Posta daily of Turkey, says Spokesman for the Armenian Foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan. On November 2, Posta published an ‘interview’ with Charles Aznavour who allegedly made very controversial statements, which caused a stir among the Armenian society. The newspaper said the meeting was attended by the French Ambassador to Turkey who even handed an award to the famous singer. Armenian websites earlier quoted Turkish media as saying that Charles Aznavour, Armenia’s Ambassador to Switzerland and Permanent Representative to the UN Geneva Office, received a “Golden Maple” award.
