Armenia is ahead of Azerbaijan and Belarus (video)
The Press Freedom Index has dropped in Armenia, show the results of a monitoring carried out in support of the European Union. The country takes fourth place in the Index of Media Freedom of Eastern Partnership countries. Ten media experts from each country participated in the survey who answered a questionnaire based on 55 criteria. President of the Yerevan Press Club Boris Navasryan says a number of factors influenced the expert assessment. Georgia is on the first place in the index, Moldova is on second place. Ukraine is on the third place and Azerbaijan and Belarus close the "list". The survey shows that in Azerbaijan, the opposition press receives a certain amount of money from the authorities as a grant.
