Should we blame the Constitution for all this mess? (video)
The three non-governing parliamentary forces today rallied their supporters in Hrazdan town as part of what they described as a ‘velvet revolution’ in Armenia. Before the start of the rally, Tigran Urikhanyan, Spokesman for the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), said, “People have lost all patience. Everywhere you can see poverty, injustice, frustration.” He said all these factors made the opposition parties form a common agenda and meet with people. “It is impossible to achieve anything without people’s consent,” said BHK Secretary Naira Zohrabyan. “I wonder whether we are to blame the Constitution for yesterday's incident at a gold market, when a brutal animal, a rascal broke the counters and said he was doing the right thing. Get on the buses that carry people from Armenia and ask whether the Constitution is to blame for migration. By the constitutional reforms the authorities seek to ensure their continued power. We should join efforts to save our country,” she said.
