Policemen acted violently: Pre-Parliament
Today at 12:00 Policemen acted violently toward the action participants in Mashtots park, who held civil protest there and 7 of them- Gevorg Safaryan, Ani Khachatryan, Anna Shahnazaryan, Arsen Ohanyan, Mikayel Elizbaryan, Dvin Isanyan and Roland Tmoyan were brought to the department. The protest was initiated by a group of young people, who are against Yerevan Municipality decision of renaming Mashtots park after French hero of Armenian origin Misak Manushyan on the occasion of French President’s visit to Armenia. Young people demand not to rename the park, and name another place after Misak Manushyan. Pre-Parliament
