Bako Sahakyan meets with US congressmen
On 25 April, President of the Artsakh Republic, Bako Sahakyan, met with a group of US congressmen headed by chairman of the US House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs Ed Royce. The meeting took place in Yerevan at the Permanent Representation of the NKR to Armenia. A number of issues related to the settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabagh conflict and regional processes were discussed during the meeting. Both sides highlighted the peaceful resolution of the conflict within the frameworks of the OSCE Minsk Group. Bako Sahakyan noted that official Stepanakert attached importance to developing relations with the USA considering it as a friendly country, home to millions of Armenians. NKR foreign minister Karen Mirzoyan, a group of the US Hay Dat Committee members headed by the chairman Ken Khachikyan and other officials partook in the meeting, reports Artsakh President’s Press Service.
