HAK cooperates with Serzh Sargsyan - Tigran Karapetyan (video)
Leader of the People’s Party (ZhK) Tigran Karapetyan thinks Speaker of the National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan will become the next prime minister of Armenia. “The premier’s resignation was advantageous to Serzh Sargsyan and the four opposition parties. The quartet believes that the prime minister resigned thanks to their efforts,” Mr Karapetyan told a news conference on April 7. He says Hovik Abrahamyan has always dreamt of becoming prime minister. Asked whom he would prefer to see in the position, Mr Karapetyan gave the name of Gagik Tsarukyan, Leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), who, he says, has not held any office before. Among the government members, the ZhK leader likes Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan and says honest people like him are few in the government. Karapetyan says Ohanyan can become prime minister, though the prime minister must have profound knowledge in economics. Tigran Karapetyan says he is preparing for the 2018 presidential election. At the press conference, he again denied the allegations about his close relations with Serzh Sargsyan. “If I were linked to Serzh Sargsyan, I would have saved my TV Company…” In conclusion, the ZhK leader said that the Armenian National Congress (HAK) cooperates with Serzh Sargsyan, otherwise ‘it would not be represented in the National Assembly.’
