Support to be provided to families with children under the age of 18 (video)

 

The government approved the issue of the Ninth Action Plan for the neutralization of the economic consequences of coronavirus, which proposes to support families with children under the age of 18 facing social problems as a result of the difficulties caused by the spread of coronavirus.

Beneficiaries of the event are all the families with children under 18 years of age, and there is one of the following circumstances:

1) The child's parents did not have a registered job as of March 12, 2020 and were not hired at temporary or permanent registered job during the period of March 12, 2020 to March 31, 2020.

2) The child's parents did not have a registered job as of March 12, 2020, and one of them was not hired to temporary or permanent registered job during the period of March 12, 2020 to March 31, 2020.

3) The child's family as of March 12, 2020 was not registered in the family insecurity assessment system or the family insecurity unit is lower than 28.01.

4) The child's single parent did not have a registered job as of March 12, 2020, and was mot hired at temporary or permanent registered job during the period of March 12, 2020 to March 31, 2020.

5) The child's parents or one of the parents as of March 31, 2020 was not an individual entrepreneur, whose activity, as of the same date, was not terminated in accordance with RA legislation.

Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Batoyan said that the assistance is provided in the form of a one-time payment of 26,500 AMD for each child. The support is provided on the basis of an application submitted electronically by one of the parents to the website online.ssa.am. In the sense of this event, the family can be a beneficiary if the child under the age of 18 (or the only child) and his parents (or single parent) reside permanently in Armenia and at least one parent and children were in Armenia during the period of March 12, 2020 to March 31, 2020.

In the sense of this event, the family cannot be a beneficiary, if child's parents or one of the parents had a temporary or permanent registered job during the period of January 1st, 2020 to March 1, 2020 and the sum or the amount of the average monthly salary of parents or one of the parents exceeded 500,000 AMD during this period.
