Freestyle wrestlers win gold medals in Belarus

On April 23-25, six Armenian young freestyle wrestlers participated in an international tournament in Vitebsk, Belarus.
The Armenian National Olympic Committee press service reported that three of them, Harutyun Manukyan (57 kg), Hrayr Alikhanyan (74 kg) and Hovhannes Maghakyan (125 kg) have won gold medals.
Mher Markosyan (86kg) won silver medal, and Arman Andreasyan (70kg) and Kolya Harutyunyan (97kg) won bronze medals.
Head coach of Armenian freestyle wrestling team Avetik Vardanyan said that the tournament was a medium level competition.
Today, the team will return to Armenia. After a week of rest, the team will leave for Vladikavkaz, where it will continue preparations for the European Wrestling Championship, which will take place on June 3-9 in the Spanish city of Ponte Verde.
