At the moment as a result of active operations by the NKR Defense Army divisions, the adversary has been pushed back all along the Line of Contact having suffered numerous casualties. The military actions continue according to the Defense Ministry of Armenia. The Ministry of Defense of Armenia officially confirms the information regarding Azerbaijan’s active attacks of the adversary all along the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani forces, at night of April 1- 2. During these operations, the adversary—using tanks, artillery, and air force—attempted to infiltrate into the depths of the defense of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army and occupy tactical positions. The Armenian Ministry of Defense strongly condemns the unprecedentedly aggressive and irresponsible decision to start military action of Azerbaijani authorities and officially announces that continuation of those actions can lead to unpredictable consequences for the Azerbaijani side. The Azerbaijani authorities bear full accountability for the unprecedented exacerbation of the situation along the Line of Contact of the Karabakh-Azerbaijan armed forces. The Ministry of Defense draws the attention of international community and especially of the OSCE Minsk Group to the situation and expects immediate and targeted interventions to keep the situation under control and to avoid large-scale military operations, as the official statement of the Ministry of Defense says.
