PAP lawmaker pleased with Sargsyan-led government
Abraham Manukyan, a lawmaker from the Prosperous Armenia Party, is pleased with the work of the Armenian government and Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. Manukyan's confession has surprised his party-mate Gurgen Arsenyan.
"I have my viewpoint in regard to Manukyan's statement," said Arsenyan.
The latter continued to laud the Sargsyan-led government, Though Manukyan did not participate in today's vote on the 2012 budget report, he says he is happy with the budget execution. "If I have not emigrated, it means I am pleased with everything," he said.
The PAP MP surprised journalists further by saying that Serzh Sargsyan was an etalon for him and should be left alone.
"The president should not be criticized so much and blamed for all concerns and problems in the republic," said Manukyan.
Unlike his colleague, PAP MP Mikael Melkumyan is not delighted with the government led by Tigran Sargsyan.
Another opposition MP, Aram Manukyan, is not surprised at PAP's ‘admiration' for the ruling authorities. Manukyan says he understands them as the ‘methods applied by the authorities are very aggressive and repressive, and not every MP can stand the pressure."
However, the MP of the Armenian National Congress still pins hopes on the PAP. ‘One day PAP members will see their relatives abandoning Armenia because of the grave social conditions," said Manukyan.
