France to give €500,000 grant to Armenia
Armenia's Finance Minister Davit Sargsyan and French ambassador to Armenia Henri Reynaud signed on Wednesday an agreement, under which the French Development Agency to provide a 500 000 euro grant for infrastructural projects in Armenia.
In particular, 300 000 euro will be allocated for the technical and economic feasibility study of the flooding system of Ararat valley for the construction of Vedi reservoir. 100 000 euro will be provided for development studies of communities adjunct to Tatev tour center.
Also, it is planned to conduct research and analyses towards designing a national plan for solid waste management, and providing assistance for the implementation of Water Management Plan.
The parties also signed an agreement on amending the financial protocol signed between the governments of Armenia and France in May, 2008.
