Yervand Zakharyan admits that Margaryan is the best mayor
Yervand Zakharyan, a former mayor of Yerevan City, admits that Taron Margaryan has been the best mayor in Yerevan in the last twenty years.
"If Margaryan is said to be the best mayor of our city in the past twenty years, I shall agree with the opinion," Zakharyan told journalists after Taron Margaryan's inauguration in the Yerevan Municipality.
To a journalist's observation that the opinion was expressed by the Republican Party of Armenia, Zakharyan said, "Republicans are never mistaken."
Zakharyan was appointed Chairman of the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre in April 2009.
Newly-elected Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was sworn in to a second term at a city council special meeting on June 11.
