Early elections to be held in two communities

An early election is scheduled to be held in Proshyan (Kotayk province) and Hovik (Shirak province) on July 14, Pasinfo reports.

According to the schedule of election preparation and organization, the nomination of the candidates will start on June 19 and last until June 23. The registration of the candidates will be held from June 23 to June 25.

The former head of Proshyan village, Hrach Muradyan, 50, was killed in front of the local administration building on April 2. He was elected to the post on September 23, 2012.

Based on May 2 decision of the government, 1 112 202.5 AMD will be allocated from the state budget to the Central Election Commission and405 467.5 AMD to the RA police for the organization and implementation of elections in Proshyan community.
Proshyan has a total of 3 950 voters.

The authorities of Samvel Petrosyan, head of Hovit rural community, were terminated by the government decision in April. Petrosyan died on February 27, 2013.

A total of 615 118.8 AMD will be allocated to the CEC and 1 528.8 AMD to the RA Police for the organization and implementation of elections in the community./
Hovit has 392 voters.
