Why did Barev Yerevan boycott vote?
Barev Yerevan alliance has issued a statement substantiating its decision to boycott the vote at Saturday's sitting of the Yerevan City Council.
The alliance claims that the draft agenda of the sitting was put into circulation without approval. Barev Yerevan also boycotted the vote in protest against the rigged election of the Council of Elders, heads of committees and their deputies.
The first sitting of the newly-elected Yerevan City Council took place on Saturday, June 8. Representatives of the Republican party and Prosperous Armenia party factions as well as Barev Yerevan alliance participated in the session.
