Paronyan State Theatre to host jubilee soiree
On June 12, H. Paronyan State Theatre of Musical Comedy will be hosting a jubilee soiree marking the 70th anniversary of creative activity and 85th birth anniversary of Honoured Artist of Armenia Artashes Karapetyan.
Tatoul Altunian folk dance and song ensemble and ethnographic musical ensemble "Maratuk" will perform at the event.
In 1974-1980, Artashes Karapetyan headed the dance department of Tatoul Altunian folk dance and song ensemble. The dance ensembles Tigranakert, Anahit and Luys conducted by him have been awarded numerous prizes in republican and all-union competitions.
Karapetyan has been lecturing at Armenian State Pedagogical University since 1976.
He has been awarded with a medal by the RA Ministry of Culture. Karapetyan also received 1st degree medal "For Services to the Fatherland."
