Acting governor of Syunik province introduced to staff
Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration Vache Terteryan, Vache Terteryan, today introduced acting governor of Syunik province, Ara Dolunts, to the staff of the local Governor's Office.
Dolunts will hold the office until the appointment of a new governor.
His appointment came after resignation of Syunik Governor Suren Khachatryan following a fatal shooting outside his house in Goris that left one person dead and two others injured.
Avo Budaghyan, a former mayoral candidate in Goris, was killed in the gunfight. Budaghyan's brother Artak Budaghyan, and Nikolay Abrahamyan, a relative and bodyguard of Khachatryan, were wounded in the incident.
