Surik Khachatryan temporarily quits office
Syunik Governor Surik Khachatryan has temporarily terminated his duties.
In a statement circulated by the Information and Public Relations Department of Syunik Marzpetaran (Governor's Office) Surik Khachatryan said, "I am sorry for not being able to prevent the tragedy near my house. Only the impartial investigation will give the answer to all questions. Every person is accountable for what he has done. I have decided to temporarily rest office until the completion of the preliminary investigation and I have already received the permission of my superiors."
