Wings of Tatev tramway shifts to summer regime
The Wings of Tatev, the world's longest reversible passenger aerial tramway, shifted to summer regime on June 1.
During the summer months, the tramway will operate every day from 10 a.m. till 8:15 p.m. the ropeway will operate all days of the week except Monday.
Wings of Tatev, a 5.7 km (3.5 mi) cableway between Halidzor village and famous medieval Tatev monastery, was finished on 16 October 2010. It took some eleven months to comlete the construction. On 23 October 2010 it was officially recorded in the Guinness World Records book. It takes eleven minitues from Halidzor to Tatev monastery.
