The settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be continued within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group. This is a rare issue in which the opposition agrees with the authorities, says Levon Zurabyan, a lawmaker from the Armenian National Congress (ANC).

Assuming the chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, Armenia in the person of Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian announced that it was not going to use CoE tribune for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The opposition also agrees with the authorities in the following, "Life has shown that the discussion of the issue in the UN General Assembly and the PACE does not open a good prospect for Armenia."

On the other hand, Levon Zurabyan says that the authorities have distorted the essence of the Karabakh conflict.

"These authorities failed to pursue a right policy. It so happened that the discussion of the issue deviated and went out of the realms of the OSCE," says Zurabyan.

Davit Harutyunyan, Head of the Armenian delegation to the PACE, disagrees with the ANC lawmaker and says the discussion of the Karabakh issue in PACE circles was the result of Azerbaijan's lobbying.

"It is rather difficult to resist the temptation of money, especially when there are people ready to take the money. Yet, it does not mean that we are going to surrender and admit that "Money opens all doors." this is far from the reality," he said.
