Armenian PM holds meetings in Belarus

President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, received today the delegates who arrived in Minsk to participate in the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government. The Armenian delegates led by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan were among the guests.

In his speech, Mr Lukashenko said that the consolidation over the CIS and the cooperation attempt have created good preconditions for revealing new prospects in the integration processes. He stressed that it is necessary to deepen the cooperation among the CIS member countries as it stems from the interests of the states, as well as their people.

On Friday morning, Tigran Sargsyan also met with his Belarusian counterpart Mikhail Myasnikovich. The two officials discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of bilateral economic cooperation. They dwelt on the import of agricultural machinery from Belarus to Armenia, export of agricultural products from Armenia to Belarus, partnership between techno parks in Belarus and Armenia's Gyumri city.

The two PMs also discussed the possibility of production of Belarusian agricultural machinery in Armenia. The interlocutors also reflected to the participation of the parties in the integration processes in the CIS region.
