Serzh Sargsyan has received today His Royal Highness, Prince Charles of Wales, who arrived in Armenia at the invitation of "Yerevan, my Love" charity foundation.

The Armenian leader welcomed the Prince's visit to Armenia, where, he said, the Prince of Wales will have an opportunity to learn about the country, its people and the historical-cultural heritage. Stressing that the Armenian-British relations have a centuries-long history and the Armenian people are well-disposed to the British people and the Royal Family, Serzh Sargsyan asked to convey his greetings to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Mr Sargsyan said he has retained pleasant feelings and memories from his meetings with Her Majesty and the Prince in London in 2010.

"Our people have a special attitude to you, and this is connected with your charitable activties. A vivid evidence of this is your active participation in "Yerevan, my Love" program," Serzh Sargsyan said.

He also thanked the founder of the "Yerevan, my Love" program, Armen Sargsyan, for the initiative and for organizing HRH Prince Charles' visit to Armenia.
In his turn, the Prince of Wales thanked Serzh Sargsyan for warm welcome and Armen Sargsyan for the invitation. Prince Charles stressed the importance of "Yerevan, my Love" program, as well as the project of construction of an international school in Dilijan. He said he highly appreciates the attention Armenia pays to the programs targeted at the development of education and expressed willingness to expand his program of support to young entrepreneurs in Armenia, too.
Serzh Sargsyan and Prince Charles also reflected on the Armenian-British political dialogue, development of bilateral relations and deepening of cooperation.
