Drastic rise in air ticket price
Comparing to the prices of last year, the air ticket prices have increased for three times. The fact has influenced the scales of outgoing tourism.
"The prices rise and not everyone can afford them now. For instance, the ticket price to Dubai was 134.000 AMD last year, now it is 170.000 AMD and that is only the ticket price", says the employee of "Erebouni Air" tourism agency Seda Abrahamyan.
Rima Apinyan goes abroad for holidays for already 5 years. Yet she doubts if she can afford it this year.
"Last year we went to Italy and paid 175.000AMD for the tickets. Today those tickets cost 300.000AMD ", she says.
All tourism agencies say that people go to Tbilisi and take off from there, because it is much cheaper that way (about 200 euros).
Many people have changed their holiday destinations because of the rise in ticket prices. Most go to Arabic countries as ticket prices for European countries are more expensive.
