Coat for a ticket
Dean of the Faculty of History of YSU Edik Minasyan today, during a meeting with journalists said that the first Republic of Armenia was created due to May heroic struggles. He thinks that the main pledge for May victories was unity.
"There was neither class nor party discrimination then. Priests and soldiers, scientists and workers were fighting side by side", he said.
He said, that the activity of "the first figures of the state" was important. "Those people were utterly devoted to what they were doing. For instance, PM Hovhannes Kajaznuni sold his coat so as to buy a ticket and to go to Europe for raising money".
Comparing the first and third republics the dean noted that there are either similarities or differences.
