PAP Spokesman slams Raffi Hovannisian for divulging details of conversation
The spokesperson of the Prosperous Armenia party (PAP) has condemned the opposition Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian who cited in his interview with RFE/RL's Armenian service (Azatutyun.am) an excerpt from his conversation with PAP Leader Gagik Tsarukyan.
In a statement released earlier today, BHK Spokesman Tigran Urikhanyan said that the citations were incomplete and inaccurate, with the core conversation being distorted.
"Regarding the political and ethical norms, Raffi Hovhannisian did not have a moral right to violate the principle of closed meetings and unveil incomplete records out of the context. We think that Hovannisian's statement was resulted by emotional spur and promise to divulge the entire conversation otherwise. In that case, Hovannisian will have to answer the questions of his supporters," the PAP spokesman said adding that the meeting was also attended by PAP members V. Oskanian, V. Hovhannisian, N. Zohrabyan and Heritage members H. Khurshudyan and R. Hakobyan.
