Opposition not responsible
Today, during a meeting with journalists, the leader of PPA Stepan Demirjyan said, that opposition should have united and participated with one election list during the Elders Council elections.
"We would win in that case, which, unfortunately, did not happen", he said.
He thinks that opposition should take a new tack of activity. "In other countries, elections come to solve crises, yet we have the opposite phenomenon. We will have the same solution when people enforce the authorities to hold normal elections".
Speaking about the cooperation between PPA and "Prosperous Armenia", Stepan Demirjyan said, that they cooperate with "PA" in National Assembly, yet for a deeper cooperation "PA" must have a clearer opposition stance.
As for ANC, PPA is always ready to cooperate with them.
Commenting on one of the journalist's words, that political figures of opposition frequently have disagreements, Mr. Demirjyan said, "Of course, there have been cases when some political figures of opposition have stained the good name of opposition, yet there are thousands of people who have struggled faithfully. Let us not run to extremes. We have put all the blame on opposition. Authorities are responsible for the present situation in the country and that is obvious".
