Barev Yerevan files appeal with Administrative Court
The Barev Yerevan (Hello Yerevan) alliance has filed a petition with the RA Administrative Court to dispute the May 11 decision of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).
Earlier, the CEC rejected the bloc's petition to declare the May 5 Yerevan City Council election invalid.
According to the official election results, Barev Yerevan won 8.4 percent of the vote in the May 5 elections and received six seats in the 65-member Council of Elders. The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) earned 42 seats and opposition-leaning Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) 17 seats in the city council.
