PAP gave bribe and maintained order at a time
Davit Sanasaryan, a senior member of the Barev Yerevan (hello Yerevan) alliance, brushes off the allegations that in the May 5 Yerevan City Council election their election commissioners cooperated with the pro-government representatives.
He says their main target during the elections was the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) because ‘they were distributing election bribe -something confirmed by a number of citizens- and, at the same time, attempting to maintain law and order.'
"The political force that bribes voters commits a crime against its co-citizens. Bribery undermines the foundations of our country," stressed Mr Sanasaryan.
He says the elections were held with numerous violations, with representatives of several political forces guiding the voters.
The Heritage party, which registered some 1500 violations on the voting day, is going to dispute the election results in court.
"The elections passed in a lukewarm atmosphere ensured by the ruling authorities," Sanasaryan said in conclusion.
