Raffi Hovhannisyan invited the opposition
At Liberty square Raffi Hovhannisyan publicly announced that the struggle is going on.
"The struggle goes on for those who have been with this movement from the very beginning, who have been with me and told me not to give up. I don't need any presidency, but in 5 years we will have a new country of quality - Republic of Armenia. I will not say that in this new country there will be no place for Serj Sargsyan or others, but our duty is to create a new kind of youth in these five years", Raffi Hovhannisyan said.
"I don't want to be compared with anyone. I am an ordinary man, a common citizen. My suggestion is still in power. On February 18 the Armenian people won, I lost. More than I Serj Sargsyan lost. On May 5, as continuation of that struggle we all lost. On this Victory Day, dear compatriots, all of us are in defeat. And it also concerns Serj Sargsyan, Robert Kocharyan, Levon Ter-Petrosyan. Something must change. If somebody has to yield, it will be me", he added.
Speaking about May 5 elections, Mr. Hovhannisyan said, that if there were fair, transparent elections, "Barev Yerevan" alliance would win or would be on the 2nd place. The next meeting with Raffi Hovhannisyan will be on May 19 at "Ani" hotel.
"Anyone who respects the February 18 vote of people, who believes that this vote of people was silenced on May 5 is invited. The invitation is for everyone. Come", he said.
