PM’s tribute
The 68th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 21st anniversary of Liberation of Shushi was celebrated in "Haghtanak" park. PM Tigran Sargsyan and members of the executive body put flowers on the monument of the Unknown Soldier and paid tribute to the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War and Artsakh Freedom Fight.
Talking to journalists, PM said, "My father took part in the Great Patriotic War, so this date has always been special for me. I am glad that we recovered the date as a state holiday. We must proudly state that Armenian soldiers contributed to the Great Victory over fascism. Struggling against fascists they struggled for the future of Republic of Armenia".
Tigran Sargsyan also mentioned that government will do anything so as veterans feel the attention of the state and public.
A military parade was held, after which PM participated in the open-air dinner party organized for veterans.
