High-ranking officials on new government
MP Samvel Alexanyan is fascinated by the make-up of the new government led by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
Speaker of the National Assembly, Hovik Abrahamyan, is even glad to see Hranush Hakobyan re-appointed as Diaspora Minister. "And why should she be replaced by another candidate?" he said.
The parliament official says the issue of emigration can be tackled in the future.
Governor of Tavush marz (province) Armen Ghulyan says emigrants are looking for an easier life. "We cannot leave our mountains and tombs abandoned," he said.
Governor of Syunik marz Surik Khachatryan does not have a feeling of discomfort because of the escalating emigration.
He calls on everyone not to blame the emigration on the government. Unlike the others, General Manvel Grigoryan sees the government's fault in the migration. "We are all guilty," he said adding that people who take delight in emigration are not Armenians.
Speaking about the new government, the general said, "I am not choosing a bride for me, to like or dislike her..."
