Only Serzh Sargsyan's voice was audible
Serzh Sargsyan has just arrived at the Government building where he was met by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and newly appointed Head of the Government Staff, Minister Vache Gabrielyan.
Earlier in the day, Serzh Sargsyan signed a degree to appoint new Cabinet ministers.
Before Sargsyan's arrival, the cabinet ministers were hurrying to the sitting of the Executive Body. Yuri Vardanyan, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, said he did not expect to be given a minister's portfolio. In reply to the question what he was going to do first, Minister of Transport and Communication Gagik Beglaryan said, "You will see."
Serzh Sargsyan congratulated the ministers, wishing them good luck in their activities. He expressed hope that not only the ministers but also representatives of all departments will work with great readiness and zeal.
"The expectations from this government are great and I see no obstacles that might hinder your effective work. The work of the government will be assessed based on the results of your work. We shall be strict and demanding. From now on, we expect you to work effectively and qualitatively. We are not going to ask you what you have done, but what results you have achieved. Those results must be measurable and visible. By saying measurable results I mean increase in salaries and pensions. I wish you all productive work. Please, realize that a lot depends on your success," said Serzh Sargsyan.
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan thanked for congratulations and pledged to do their best to justify the expectations of Serzh Sargsyan and Armenian citizens.
"We shall spare no effort to justify your expectations," said the Armenian premier.
Today journalists could not follow the government sitting on monitors; only Serzh Sargsyan's voice was audible to them.
