OEK congratulates winning parties
The Orinats Yerkir party has congratulated the three political forces that were able to clear the 6-percent threshold in Sunday's election to the Yerevan Council of Elders.
In a statement released on Monday, the party thanks the media for providing a wider coverage of their campaign, at the same time stressing that the election was marred by vote-buying and other irregularities. District authorities were also actively engaged in the election, creating an atmosphere of intimidation in several districts of Yerevan. The Orinats Yerkir party has repeatedly voiced this problem throughout the election process.
However, considering the election as an accomplished fact, the Orinats Yerkir party thanks all Yerevan citizens who voted for the party.
The party polled 3.73 % or 15733 votes in Sunday's vote.
