Republican Party leading in Yerevan City Council polls /updated/
Armenia's Central Election Commission has released the preliminary results of Sunday's Yerevan City Council election.
Based on vote count in 464 polling stations, Arakelutyun (Mission) party has scored 2692 votes (0.64 %), Prosperous Armenian Party (PAP) - 97189 votes (23,07 %), Barev Yerevan bloc -35732 votes (8.48%), the Armenian National Congress (ANC) - 18499 votes (4.39%), Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun)- 15999 (3.80 %), Republican Party of Armenia (RPA)- 235512 (55.89 %) and Orinats Yerkir -15733 (3.73 %).
Over 437 021 residents (53.53%) cast ballots in Sunday's ballot, with 816 475 eligible to vote.
