Hmayak Hovhannisyan was not apprehended
The trial of the President of the Union of Politologists Hmayak Hovhannisyan did not take place today. Judge Gagik Poghosyan was at the council chamber, but for another case.
On previous session judge of the Court of First Instance of Yerevan Center and Nork-Marash administrative districts Gagik Poghosyan had made a resolution to apprehend Hmayak Hovhannisyan. Today Mr. Hovhannisyan had come to the court to say that the judge's resolution is groundless as he had not come to the previous session because of the illness of his lawyer.
"We are for a quick investigation which will show the fake essence of the case", he said to "A1+".
Hmayak Hovhannisyan is charged with breaking Senik Julhakyan's two fingers, yet he does not accept his guilt. Senik Julhakyan is the President of the Council of Chairmen of "Hayhidroenergonakhagits" institution.
Hmayak Hovhannisyan and his lawyer promise to present a number of petitions during the next judicial session to prove Mr. Hovhannisyan's innocence.
"We will give a chance to the judge to be impartial. If he does not use that chance, he will be challenged", mentioned the President of the Union of Politologitst.
He is discontented with the judge, thinking that the principle of equity of the sides is being systematically violated.
