The number of voters decline
"816.739 voters are registered in Yerevan as for April 24", those data were presented by the head of Visa and Passport Department of Poloice of RA, Hovhannes Kocharyan. He also noticed, that those data are not yet final.
"According to our calculations which were done before April 24, the number of voters in Yerevan was 817.814, yet the latest registration shows that this number has reduced by 1075", said Kocharyan.
Hovhannes Kocharyan assures, that police pays special attention to addresses, which have 10 or more registrations.
"We surely meet the residents of those addresses, on which there are 10 or more registrations. Often the number of the voters reduces after our adjustments, as there are a lot of inaccuracies", he comments.
By the way, Hovhannes Kocharyan informed, that citizens who do not have Yerevan registration can also vote in Yerevan Council of Elders Elections.
"If the resident has registration of 6 months in Yerevan, he can vote. We have 3375 voters of that type", he clarified.
